Over 600 cyclists took part in our Bike Ride last Sunday. One of the riders Steven Green, was kind enough to share this stunning video with us, from his ride on the 110 mile Llangollen route.
The latest news on the Dougie Mac Bike Ride

Thanks again to everyone who took part in our Bike Ride yesterday.
Just to let you know over 600 people took part, on the 3 routes – local (10 miles), Nantwich (50 miles) and Llangollen (110 miles).
We managed to get some photos on the day, and have been sent a few from supporters via Facebook and Twitter.

With the Dougie Mac Bike Ride just days away, we just thought we would share some on the day instructions with you all in case you haven’t seen them yet.
Directions - Michelin Athletic Club, Rose Tree Avenue, Trent Vale, Stoke on Trent, ST4 4EY
If arriving by car, please park your car and register before you unload your bike.
If arriving on bike, for safety reasons you will be asked to walk with your bike whilst on Michelin Athletic premises.
Registration – will take place in the function room. At registration we will issue you with your rider number wristband which has printed on it the Event Control Room contact number should you require assistance.
Can we please ask that you observe the registration times below
Llangollen Riders 6.15am 8.30am
Nantwich Riders 7.00am 10.00am
Local Riders 8.00am 10.00am
En Route…
Rider etiquette and safety – Please observe single file riding, if someone overtakes you drop back. Remember this is NOT A RACE and we are on the public highway. If you see another rider in trouble please stop and help.
Please familiarise yourself with the route – In addition to the map enclosed in this pack there are GPS directions on our website and there will be signage on the course.
Water stations are located on the map.
Back up vehicle – we are again being supported by Wardle Transport who are supplying two back up vehicles that will pick up you and your bike if you get into difficulties.
First Aid – we are supported by St Johns Ambulance on the course.
Back at the Michelin Athletic Club …
Please ensure you return to the Michelin Athletic Club and if you can’t, please let us know by phone, we need to be able to account for all our riders on the day.
Flop down on the grass and we will revive you with sandwiches, tea and cake!

It’s just one week until our Annual Bike Ride takes place.
On Sunday May 20th, around 600 cyclists will take to the road in support of the Dougie Mac.
Whether you have taken the local route, the Nantwich route or the Llangollen route; we would like to thank you all for your support and wish you best of luck on your journey.

After the wonderful 5K Run/Walk event, our next special event is the Dougie Mac Bike Ride which takes place on Sunday May 20th.
We have over 400 entrants already, and we are looking to raise over £37,000 for patient care at the Hospice.

We’re delighted to announce that we now have over 250 entrants for the Bike Ride, which takes place on Sunday May 20th.
Big shout out to Robert Carbin from Biddulph Moor, who is taking part in the Nantwich route this year.
Cyclists have a choice of three routes; Local (10 miles), Nantwich (50 miles) and Llangollen (110 miles).
All the money raised from the event goes towards patient care at the Dougie Mac.
